What Indiana and the Nation needs is maturity.
You can trust me with an AK-47, or an AR-15, but you can’t trust that I will ONLY eat my Cannabis / Hemp RAW?
This plant is FOOD long before it ever becomes RECREATIONAL.
The plant takes approximately 120 Days to fully mature. Once mature the flowering tops, or “buds” must be harvested, and hung to dry for up to 10 days. After the initial drying is complete, the flowers are traditionally placed into Ball Co. Mason Jars. The jars are vented or “burped” on a daily basis to allow for the by-product gases that are produced while the flowers cure. During this curing process is when the pre-cursor to THC forms.
Cannabis, nor Hemp are genetically-capable to produce THC.
So you ask, “Where does the THC come from?”
Well it goes like this.
Those flowering buds must sit in the jar while Tetrahydrocannabinolic Acid-Synthase (THCA-S) folds in Cannabigerolic Acid (CBGA) to form Tetrahydrocannabinolic Acid-A (THCA-A). This takes about 6-8 weeks to fully form the THCA-A. From here, THCA-A must be heated to 107.5 C to begin the non-enzymatic decarboxylation. Optimum temp 157.5 C then degradation begins. Approximately 88% of the THCA-A present converts in testing.
NOTE: THCA-A is NOT psychotomemetic to produce Psychosis.
While the THCA-S is folding in CBGA to make THCA-A, THCA-A begins to half-life at a rate of 35 days. So we have the process ending before THC even begins to make an appearance. Heating in general is required to produce THC from the cured product THCA-A.
While the THCA-A is degrading in half-life, it also converts a VERY SLIGHT AMOUNT to THC due to exposure to Light & Deoxydation. In general, by-product THC is nearly non-existent in RAW Wet-Weight plant material.
What does all of this mean?
It means you can Juice, eat RAW, etc to access Cannabinoids from both plants that are Indispensable for your body.
